The Gen 2 Vulcan Machine Werks (VMW) 2011 Baseplates are made from US sourced 6061-T6 billet aluminum and machined on site at our shop, here in the great state of Texas. They are designed and precisely engineered to replace the original factory magazine baseplates for your Staccato 2011 and/or legacy STI pistol.
Our baseplates are designed for a perfect fit on 9/38 magazine tube bodies and require utilization of the factory magazine spring plate to lock into the baseplate. The magazine spring plate is the plastic piece that comes standard in the factory mag. Our Gen 2 baseplates will work with the 20/17/16 round mags and the Dawson Magwell’s.
*Caution : VMW baseplates do not prevent overfeeding of the magazine.*
