We offer optic cuts utliizing the Trijicon RMR Adaptor Plate System on most series 70/80's 1911/2011's. This cut is only available for people who have purchased their own Trijicon Adapter plate. This does not include anything other than the plate cut and front sight fitting. If you're unsure of the fitment, please call us first. Non-novak front sights will require fitting. If you choose to go without a recoat you will see the file marks.
In some instances, we will need to modify the pocket on the Trijicon plate itself. We see this mostly on series 80 1911's.

*Series 70/80 are available for this type of plate. Series 90 is not.

2011 optics cut

2011/1911 milling
Just had an STI 2011 and 1911 milled and fitted with Trijicon plates system. Impeccable work was done in them both, they look like they came from the factory this way. I could not be more pleased with the work that was done.

1911 Plate System
My TRP .45 Full Rail got cut for the RMR Plate System. Barrel got flush cut and reverse crown, and DLC. Guide rod also got DLC. Amazing work! Looks great! It’s perfect now!

Great workmanship
I am super pleased with the milling job, RMR mounting and refinishing. Their communication is excellent. I received an email with pictures when they received my slide and RMR. About 4 weeks later I got an email stating the job was done and everything was being shipped back. Well worth the money....and a military discount on top of it all. Thanks guys!!!

Impeccable Quality
I had an STI 2011 machined for the TPS. The quality of the machine work and refinish is perfect. I can't see how the fit between the slide and the TPS plate could be any better. Vulcan kept me up to date on how the order was proceeding and the work was done ahead of schedule. They will be doing more work for me in the future.

Mill & Cerakote Kimber 1911 slide
Had my Kimber custom 2 slide milled for an optic and cerakoted. Turned out great as all the work I have had done at VMW over the years has. Turned it quicker than I expected as well, BONUS! Y’all are simply the best in the biz!

Works as expected
The job VMW does is phenomenal. Would recommend for anyone considering getting their 1911 cut for an RMR footprint. The only problem I've encountered is the front sight tends to come loose.
