New for 2026, the Avalon Thumb Stud is part of Pro-Tech’s latest lineup and was developed in collaboration with Peace Neighbor, the brand owned by Shawn Ashmore. As expected from Pro-Tech, every knife is fully machined, assembled, and sharpened in-house at their facility in Placentia, California. The Avalon combines silky-smooth ball-bearing action, dual thumb stud deployment, an elegant button-lock closure, premium Magnacut blade steel, and a lightweight anodized aluminum frame.
What sets this version apart is the Vulcan treatment. Both Vulcan Machine Werks and Pro-Tech are known for premium in-house manufacturing, exceptional finishing, and cohesive design themes. The Vulcan-designed Avalon carries over the brand’s signature style with a matching 2011 grip pattern, ported handle spine machining, and a colorway designed to complement Vulcan’s pistol lineup. Sexy Avalon Variant!
Love the copper rose blade with the Vulcan pattern scales. The subtle integration of the Vulcan porting pattern on the handle spine sets this off from other Avalon variants!! Fantastic collab, now just need a matching custom pistol!!
