BARREL DLC COATING
This is now the third barrel that Vulcan has done for me, so far they have done two Apex barrels for me and one KKM barrel they all have turned out perfect. Again To avoid yourself some frustration realize it could take anywhere from 4 to 7 weeks. I got one barrel back in four weeks and the other two took around 5 to 6 weeks but I knew that because I actually read they disclaimer about wait times. If you’re thinking about doing it all, I can say it’s worth every penny. I have shot thousands around at competitions and I cannot even see any wear marks on the barrel itself minimal on the barrel hood, but the barrel is pristine.

When they tell you to be aware of of their leadtimes, be respect to realize you’re not gonna get your barrel back inside of four weeks. It took a little over four weeks for me to get my barrel back, but I knew that based off of them being upfront about the leadtimes and I can tell you, it was worth the wait! Looks great and I just sent them another barrel for DLC an APEX 5 Gunsmith Fit 5”. And yes, I know it will be about four weeks before I see it again, but I knew that before I sent it! I’m sure it will equally be worth the wait. Since you cannot get an Apex or a KKM barrel, other than stainless. It’ll be awesome to see this one with the DLC black on it.

DLC on a KKM barrel
I sent in a new stainless KKM barrel (Glock) and the DLC coating came out perfect. I then took a two day pistol optics course and after 1000 rounds, it still looks new. No typical wear marks you’d see on a stock barrel. Highly recommend.

DLC Prodigy Barrel
While the wait was longer than anticipated the quality that was delivered was exceptional. The only reason my wait was extended was due to an issue with the first round of coating and that comes with the territory. I appreciate that Vulcan went the hard road to get me top shelf quality and this is why I chose them to begin with. They also polished my feed ramp to a mirror finish. Attention to detail is what I can say about Vulcan and this is the detail I felt my prodigy needed and how it should have come. Thanks for the high level of product on this ala cart service.
