Our optics cuts are precision CNC milled to exacting tolerances to give you industry leading performance. Direct Milled Optics to 1911/2011 platforms are cut at a down angle to follow the taper of this particular platform. A primary feature of our cradle cutting method is the fact the optic will be tight in the cut and will have extremely little to no ability to move once in place (this is by design). Our cuts will also have precise and consistent recoil bossing (where available) to add strength to the cut. This is to ensure the repeated reciprocal forces from firing are not translated exclusively to the mounting screws. No matter if you are in military/law enforcement community, competition community, or personal defense community, our cuts will ensure your optic survives the harshest of firing schedules.
With regards to the DPP calling out "Leupold or Dawson Rear Sight" both companies make an add on rear sight that fits into the rear cleat of the optic. However, both of those rear sights are different thickness. Please ensure you select the correct one so we can correctly cut for it.
*If your slide has an existing optic cut from another company either from a factory or from us it CAN NOT be re-cut for a different optic. This includes slides pre-cut from Staccato/STI (DUO, DPO and Optic Ready).*
On the Acro Cut, you will see exposed firing pin channel due to the depth at which we have to cut to achive a flat surface for a secure mount. We do have to modify your Acro with a cut out on the horzontal strut on the bottom so it will not pinch the firing pin or spring.
For the 509T Cut, you will see exposed firing pin channel due to the depth at which we have to cut to achive a flat surface for a secure mount. We do not have to modify the bottom of the optic like the Acro.
*Optics Not Included*
*We highly recommend coating your slide to prevent rust and corrosion due to bare metal being exposed. If you select "no" to any of the coating services you are acknowledging that you're aware of the potenal issues that arise from not getting it coated.*
For Customers getting a 509T Milled, our cut has a relief on the right coner. This is by design. This is not a mistake, nor sloppy machining, its due to the nature of the mounting system. The picture below is a reference of what the cut will look like once complete.

Hands down the best work
Without a doubt this was the best decision I made for my staccato. I am insanely happy with the work Vulcan did on my slide and in a very timely manner!

Great work
The milling work and DLC coating was done faster than advertised and to perfection. Slide looks just like factory and the Holosun EPS Carry is super low in the slide. Very nice setup. Vulcan has great communication and does excellent work.

Staccato P Direct Mill
Just got my slide back yesterday. Took right about 4 weeks for milling and DLC coating. Super high quality work. I’ve shown it to a couple of friends who thought it was factory milling - I agree. You can be 100% confident with Vulcan.

Direct milled Staccato P
Fantastic work! I was so happy with the work done when slide arrived. Further more where I was worried about being stuck on a particular foot print once getting the slide once in hand I knew the decision was the right one. The dot sits so low every time I press out it's right where I expect it. With any of my higher dot outfitted pistols I have to work just a little harder and practice more to get this result. As an additional bonus Vulcan offers a DLC option! I am sure other finishes are good but give me DLC over all others. Well done Vulcan, well done. The next 1911 I get will be headed your way for the same treatment! Regards, Miguel

Fantastic
Absolutely love what was done. No regrets and would do business again. This cut with an RMRcc is absolutely perfect on the Staccato.
