Please Note: This is a machining service only. You are sending us your slide and in some cases your optic as well — the optic and slide are not included with this service.
Our cuts are precision CNC machined to exact tolerances using our cradle cutting method, which keeps the footprint intentionally tight. This ensures your optic locks in solid with little to no movement once mounted.
When applicable, we also add precision-cut recoil bosses. These help direct the stress of recoil into the slide, not just the screws — giving you better long-term reliability under heavy use.
Whether your setup is for competition, duty, or everyday carry, our optic cuts are made to hold up to serious firing schedules without shifting or loosening.
⚠️ Important: After machining, the cut exposes raw metal. We strongly recommend selecting one of our coating options to prevent corrosion. If you choose “No Coating,” you're accepting the risk of rust or finish damage from moisture and exposure.
***For customers purchasing the C series optic cut in order to use the 509 adapter plate, the standard cut will not be the correct length. If you want to use the adapter plates, please specify this intent in your individual order notes. The cut will be cut slightly oversized for their plate (your C series optic cut will NOT have a tight fit).***
For Customers getting a 509T Milled, our cut has a relief on the right corner. This is by design. This is not a mistake, nor sloppy machining, its due to the nature of the mounting system. The picture below is a reference of what the cut will look like once complete.

Glock optic cut
I've had a lot of machine work done from different shops in the past but nothing compared to the milling performed by Vulcan Machine Werks. I was expecting a much longer lead time and was pleasantly surprised when I received my Glock slide in less the a week. The Holosun HE507K cut was a flawless fit and looked incredibly clean. Phenomenal Job
The Glock 42 optic cut is rare, and this is the only company I've been able to find that does the job. Once I started shooting with a red dot on my G19 I couldn't find a reason not to put one on my G42. Vulcan had it done in a few days, the coating is what took a lot longer, but it was worth the wait. Plus I sent in my new sights and the red dot which they mounted for me as a courtesy, great service, great price, would highly recommend!
