Job Title: QC / Project Manager (1911/2011 Platforms)
Location: Plano, TX
Job Type: Full-Time — ONSITE ONLY
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a sharp, highly organized QC / Project Manager with deep 1911/2011 platform knowledge and an extreme eye for detail. This role is the bridge between production, customers, and internal teams—owning project flow, quality verification, documentation, and communication from intake to delivery. You’ll be managing a high volume of active projects (600+), keeping everything tracked inside our systems, and ensuring every build meets our standards before it leaves the shop. If you’re the type of person who notices what everyone else misses, keeps things moving, and can communicate clearly under pressure—this is your lane.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Own the QC process for 1911/2011 builds, parts, and assemblies with a strict attention to detail.
-
Manage a high volume pipeline of 600+ active projects while maintaining accuracy and organization.
-
Review build sheets, specs, and customer requests to ensure work performed matches requirements.
-
Perform final checks prior to delivery/shipping: function, fitment, correct parts, finish condition, documentation accuracy, etc.
-
Maintain accurate, consistent record keeping for each job (what was done, by who, when, notes, issues, resolutions).
-
Track project status daily and coordinate priorities with department leadership and production teams.
-
Communicate professionally with customers on project status, clarifications, approvals, and issue resolution (inside-facing/customer-facing role).
-
Identify QC issues early, document them clearly, and route corrective action to the appropriate team member.
-
Keep projects moving by removing bottlenecks—missing parts, unclear instructions, approval delays, etc.
-
Update ERP/project systems with notes, milestones, parts usage, and job progress.
-
Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
-
Help us maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas.
Qualifications/Requirements:
-
DEEP knowledge of 1911/2011 platforms and the parts/components associated with them (must be able to catch incorrect parts/specs).
-
Project Management and/or Quality Control background is REQUIRED.
-
Strong computer/web-based skills (comfortable living in systems all day).
-
ERP program experience REQUIRED (any major ERP is fine—must be able to learn ours fast).
-
Customer-facing / inside role experience REQUIRED (strong communication and people skills).
-
Extreme attention to detail — you must be the person who catches the “small stuff” before it becomes a big problem.
-
Proven ability to manage large volumes of work simultaneously without dropping details.
-
Excellent organization, documentation, and record keeping habits (non-negotiable).
-
Ability to operate in a team environment and coordinate across multiple departments.
-
Strong problem-solving ability: identify issues, document them, drive resolution.
-
Ability to stay calm, professional, and accurate under pressure and shifting priorities.
-
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent output daily.
