Job Title: Coating Services Tech (PVD, DLC, and Anodization)

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Coating Services Tech to oversee all aspects of our PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon), and Anodization services. This role involves managing the shipping and handling of products, ensuring proper documentation and inspection of items returned from coating vendors, and maintaining high-quality standards to exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and a commitment to maintaining productive vendor relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Shipping and Handling:

  • Prepare and package products for shipment to coating vendors, ensuring proper handling to maintain product integrity.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Product Inspection:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of products returned from vendors to ensure coating quality meets company standards.
  • Identify and document any defects or discrepancies and report them to management.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Write up detailed records of outgoing and incoming shipments, including product specifications and vendor information.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports using MS Excel and other relevant tools.

Vendor Relations:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with coating vendors to ensure consistent quality and timely service.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors to address quality issues, delays, or other concerns.

Project Prioritization:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and company goals.
  • Follow directions from management to align project execution with business objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
  • General PC operation and familiarity with standard office software.
  • Experience with shipping, handling, and packaging products.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure high-quality product standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or quality assurance environments.
  • Knowledge of PVD, DLC, and Anodization processes is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time position with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
  • Office and workshop settings with moderate physical activity related to handling products.
